Abstract

Abstract
The objective of this research is to investigate the role of educational coaches and planners in revision and enhancement of educational programs of Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVET-A) in Afghanistan. The research problem is nonexistence of a good system of planning in this authority. In terms of objective, this research is an applied one. In terms of method, this is a descriptive- analytical research. The statistical population of this research consists of employees of TVET Authority in Kabul and provinces who mostly deal with this topic. Considering the hierarchy of employees in terms of positions and tasks, the sampling method is a non-probability sampling technique. The sample includes208 employees of the authority that were selected through judgmental sampling named after Johannes Müller. The method to collect data is desk study along with field study with questionnaires according to Likert scale. The findings indicate that no similar research has been conducted so far. Due to its importance, TVET Authority was recognized independent in 2018. Certainly, it requires a professional planning. The findings of the research were analyzed by SPSS. After data entry and coding, reliability and validity of the questionnaire were approved using Cronbach’s Alpha and Spearman correlation coefficient. Frequency distribution, measures of central tendency and index of dispersion were described in a table. In order to infer the data, Chi-squared test (X2) and Spearman correlation coefficient were used. Research findings reveal that educational coaches and planners have significant roles in enhancement of educational plans of TVET-A. A positive correlation exists between the knowledge and skills of educational coaches and planners and their roles in designing and developing plans. Also in paying attention to their ideas by top managers of TVET Authority.
