Abstract

One of the most important factors in improving the teaching-learning process and the professional growth of teachers is attention and commitment to the principles of educational supervision and guidance. The purpose of the present study, which was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method, is to explain the principles of educational supervision and guidance. The findings of the study show that the most important principles of educational supervision and guidance include the principle of combining responsibility and authority, cooperation, dynamism, community orientation, and attention to individual differences. Attention to these principles will maintain the dignity of managers and teachers, gain trust and strengthen their motivation, and improve human relations in educational institutions, which will result in increased creativity in managers and teachers and the development of learners' talents.
